Handball Euros: Macedonian team arrives in Zagreb
The Macedonian men's handball team arrived in Zagreb on Thursday, ahead of tomorrow's start of the European Championships. Macedonia plays its first Group C match against Slovenia on Saturday. The Croatian champion PPD Zagreb last night defeated Macedonia's vice-captain Metalurg with 32:26 in the fifth round of the regional handball SEHA League. Known the terms for the matches of Macedonia at the European Championship in Croatia, EHF has announced the official program this afternoon. Lino Cervar to leave Macedonia for Croatia
Lino Cervar decided to leave bench of Macedonian national team in order to overtake Croatia in year of preparation for home Men’s EHF EURO 2018. Macedonian Handball Federation informed earlier today domestic media about Cervar’s intention to use clausule in contract with allow him to terminate agreement with them. Macedonia ended 15th at Men’s World Championship 2017 in France. Cervar led Croatia between 2002 and 2010. He was world and Olympic champion in 2003 and 2004 with his country.
