International Classical Music Festival “Interfest” opens in Bitola

The concert of Serbian Chamber Orchestra “St. George” and Macedonian violinist Kostadin Bogdanoski will open Monday evening in Bitola the 26th International Festival of Classical Music “Interfest.”


The festival which runs until October 12, will feature artists from Serbia, Italy, Croatia, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, France and Macedonia, including a concert will take place in Veles, Milica Sperovic-Ribarski, artistic director of "Interfest” told.

Chamber Orchestra "St. George" from Belgrade and soloist Kostadin Bogdanoski, a violinist from Macedonia will open the festival performing works by Bartok, Barber, Respighi, Saint-Saens, Bizet-Waxman. In the following days the audience will be able to enjoy the music of the young artists Andrej Shaklev from Macedonia and Alberto Olivo from Italy, Trio Friedrich (Italy), Alessia Martegiani and Maurizio Di Fulvio (Italy) as well as Ukrainian violinist Oleksandr Samoylenko, who will perform together with Tutu Aydinoglu (piano, Azerbaijan/Turkey), Sperovic-Ribarski said.

Concert of the laureates of the VIII Interfest-Bitola Piano will also be held and duo piano Schiavo/Marchegiani (Italy) will hold a concert at the National Theater Veles on Tuesday.

Recital of Pierre-Laurent Boucharlat (piano) from France performing Beethoven Evening will close the 26th Interfest-Bitola, Sperovic-Ribarski said.
