According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index and the Retail Price Index in October 2017, in comparison with the previous month, were 0.3 percent.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in October 2017, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in rice by 3.6%, potatoes by 3.2%, milk and yoghurt by 1.9%, dried fruit and nuts by 1.8%, edible offal by 1.6%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionary by 0.9%, meat by 0.8%, other bakery products and food products n.e.c. by 0.5%, dried, salted or smoked meat by 0.4%, other milk products and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.3%.
In October 2017, there was also an increase of the indices of liquid fuels for households by 6.2%, footwear by 4.2%, motor cars by 3.9%, pets and related products by 3.1%, hospital services by 2.6%, gas for households by 2.2%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 2.1%, liquid fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 2.0%, dental services by 1.7%, stationary and drawing materials by 1.6%, carpets and other floor coverings by 1.3%, veterinary and other services for pets by 1.2%, accommodation services by 0.9%, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment by 0.8%, therapeutic appliances and equipment, camping and recreation in nature by 0.7%, clothing by 0.5%, small electric appliances for households and spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment by 0.4%, services for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling and household textiles by 0.3%, household furniture, other services in respect of personal transport equipment and culture services by 0.2%.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index in October 2017, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 7.4%, frozen fruit by 1.8%, fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 1.0%, eggs by 0.9%, flours and other cereals by 0.6%, frozen vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers, dried vegetables, other preserved or processed vegetables by 0.4%, cereals by 0.3% and alcoholic beverages by 0.2%.
In October, there was also a decrease of the indices of information processing equipment by 2.2%, package holidays by 1.7%, recreational and sporting services by 1.5%, books by 1.3%, materials for maintenance and repair of the dwelling by 1.1%, articles for personal hygiene and wellness by 0.8%, recording and reproduction of sound and picture and personal care services by 0.5%, cleaning and maintenance products for households by 0.4%, tools and equipment for house and garden, other medical products and passenger transport by air by 0.3% and recording media by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in October 2017, in comparison with October 2016, registered an increase by 1.9%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 4.3%.
