PMFL: Season starts with loss for Vardar in Tetovo

Two new games were played in the First Macedonian Football League (PMFL) this afternoon.


At the start was played the derby in which champion Shkendija with 2-0 beat champion Vardar, in the match that was played in Tetovo.

Tetovo team was more specific throughout the match, and thanks to goalkeeper Gacevski the score after the first part was 0-0. Therefore, in the second half, the hosts crowned the dominance with two goals. Armend Alimi scored the first goal in the 60th minute, and only five minutes later (65’) Steniio Junior rose to 2-0, which was the final result of this match.

For both teams now there are duels in the playoffs for the Europa League. Already on August 17 in Skopje, Vardar welcomes Fenerbahce, while Shkendija will be visiting Italian Milan the same day.

Otherwise, in the second match that was played today in the PMFL, Rabotnicki-Renova duel ended 0-0.

The other four matches of this introductory round will be played tomorrow, and the doubles: Pobeda - Pelister, Shkupi - Academy Pandev and Sileks - Skopje.
