The average salary in March 2017 rose to 22.445 denars (367 EUR), an increase of 1,8 percent compared to the same period in 2016, the State Statistics Bureau informed on Monday. This is the post-tax, net salary.
Increases were recorded in the financial and insurance sector (7,5 percent), mining and quarrying (7,2 percent) and art, leisure and entertainment (6,7 percent). The average gross, pre-tax salary was 32.999 denars (540 EUR). The Bureau found that 1,3 percent of all employees did not receive their salaries in March.
