A news site in Macedonia detailed transfers of large sums of US taxpayer’s money at the account of Pavle Bogoevski, one of the main violent street protesters from socalled 2016 Colored Revolution in Macedonia, who was afterwards made member of Parliament by the left wing SocialDemocratic SDSM party.
According to Zurnal.net, Foundation Open Society Macedonia (FOSM), the main George Soros led organization in Macedonia, wired more than a million USD to an agency used for temporary imployment. The Helsinki Committee of Macedonia, a proxy NGO group that coordinates its activities with FOSM, also wired about 300.000 USD to the same employment agency, which was then used to fund protesters during the 2015 – 2016 frequent protests against the conservative VMRODPMNE led Government. One of them was Pavle Bogoevski, who received nearly 8.000 USD for his efforts. Additionally, he collected more than 10.000 USD from the Helsinki Committee, which is a significant sum of money for a country where the average monthly salary is about 450 USD. From other sources, Bogoevski declared additional 15.000 USD for 2014 – 2015.
During the protests, in which police officers and public institutions were attacked, Bogoevski gained notoriety as one of the most violent participants, and was charged with violent conduct. He also became notorious for wearing a tshirt calling himself part of the “Soros Army”.
Considering that Soros’s FOSM is practically the main implementing agency for socalled “democracy and governance” projects by the United States Embassy in Macedonia and by USAID to the tune of tens of millions of dollars, it is clear that a significant portion of the money this professional protester has received has come from the United States Government.
Macedonian NGO watchdogs have warned that the Obama Administration has invested heavily in left wing groups which then took part in violent protest against the Government, inserting itself firmly on one side of the political divide in Macedonia. This has led to a number of investigations for partisanship in the Embassy, with members of the Senate and the House calling on Ambassador Jess Baily to explain himself and resing, and the Heritage Foundation and Judicial Watch adding their voices to the chorus of calls for an audit and cancelling of these projects.
Bogoevski is related to Slobodan Bogoevski, a notorious Communist era secret service operative, who was long alleged of working to infiltrate and undermine the democratic, antiCommunist opposition parties that developed after Macedonia seceded from Yugoslavia. Another relative of his was nabbed trying to transport a huge amount of cocaine across the border in Macedonia, and Slobodan Bogoevski himself has owned up to a role in the major Deutsche Telekom scandal in Macedonia that was investigated by the US SEC.
Pavle Bogoevski donated part of the largesse he received from the NGO projects he worked on back to the SDSM party which nominated him as member of Parliament. He gave a total of 3.700 USD to SDSM, meaning that US Government funds, besides being used to fund violent protests, eventually directly ended in party coffers.
