EUR 470 Million Invested for Road Infrastructure in Ohrid-Struga Region

About EUR 470 million has been invested in road infrastructure in Ohrid-Struga region, leader of VMRO-DPMNE Nikola Gruevski informed. Speaking to reporters during his visit to Struga and the region he noted that major investment is the construction of the highway Kicevo-Ohrid, which is at an advanced stage and should be ready by the end of 2018.

"There is an intensive work, involved are myriad of workers, route is pierced and companies are working at full engagement of the approximately 50-kilometer highway", Gruevski said.

Despite this highway, he stressed that there are other large investments in road infrastructure in this region, such as the expressway Ohrid-Pestani and Trebenista-Struga, which should begin to be built by the middle of next year.

"It is important to mention the ring road in Vevcani whose procedure for finding a contractor will start in two weeks and MKD 23 million will be invested, and it will be very important for Vevcani residents", Gruevski said.
