President Ivanov visits Poland
President Gjorge Ivanov pays September 5-6 a visit to Poland, taking part at the 27. Economic Forum in Krynica Zdroj. Ivanov will address the forum’s opening session themed “Unfinished Integration – Aspirations of European Countries”, also including Polish President Andrzej Duda and Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, the President’s Office said in a press release. Evgenij Pop Acev shares first place after FINA open water marathon competitions
Macedonian open water marathon swimmer Evgenij Pop Acev shared the first place in the FINA Grand Prix with Argentinian Guillermo Bertola. Both have 43 point after the final race of the competition, the Capri – Naples marathon. Pop Acev finished the race in fourth place, which was enough for him to share the first place in the overall standing. New school year begins in Macedonia
The new school year began on Monday. Due to the weekend, instead of the traditional start of the school year on September 1st, this year it began on the 4th. According to the Education and Science Ministry, 20.000 children enrolled in the first grade, 6.159 of whom in the capital Skopje. A total of 17.131 students enrolled in high schools, 5.496 of them in Skopje. Trade high schools enrolled 9.983 new students and 6.703 enrolled in the general practice, gymnasium type high schools.
Ramstore Opens Two New Outlets In Macedonia
Turkish food retailer Ramstore has opened two new Express format stores in Macedonia over the past month, continuing its expansion in the country. This week, the retailer's fifth Ramstore Express store was opened in Ohrid, while last month, another new outlet was opened in Kumanovo. The Ramstore Express markets are designed to allow customers to make faster purchases in a small area. Macedonia came away with a win from the visit to Israel as part of the Russia 2018 world cup campaign and now sits in the 5th position on 6 points, 3 shy of Israel who sits at 9 points in 4th place. Exhibition of works by Cemerski and Andreevski in Wilmington, North Carolina
An exhibition of paintings by artists Sergej Andreevski and Gligor Cemerski will open in Wilmington, North Carolina, where both of them attended an international art colony 20 yeras ago. Based on the art colony organized in the St. Joakim of Osogovo monastery in Macedonia, the No Borders art colony in Wilmington invited artists from across the world. The exhibition will include drawings and paintings which Cemerski and Andreevski made while in Wilmington. It will be open until September 29th.
