Macedonian climber dies on Everest
A Macedonian climber died on Sunday (May 20) while making a final push for the summit of Mount Everest, the latest fatality of the current spring climbing season in the Nepali Himalayas. Traditional Macedonian ethno wedding in Novaci
Novaci municipality ended this year’s summer of culture with traditional event “Macedonian Ethno Wedding” over the weekend. Mogila residents Magda, 70, and Simon Pivkovski, 73, were married after 52 years of life as a couple. “The ceremony was held in church ‘St.Atanasij’ in Mogila village. Artist Ljupco Bojarov will open his 19th independent exhibition on Tuesday evening, at the KIC Cultural-Information Center in Skopje. Macedonian working on Ship Security dies in Indian Ocean
The Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that a Macedonian citizen working for a South Korean company (HGS Korea) has died aboard their ship. Alongside several other Macedonian citizens, he was employed as ship's security, protecting the ship and its cargo from pirates. The incident occured as the ship apprached the coast of Sri Lanka. The name or the reasons for the death hasn't been released, however it is known that the Macedonian citizen is a former ARM soldier and a resident of Shtip.
