In accordance with the requirements of the European Handball Federation (EHF), the Swiss Handball Federation (SHV) has scheduled the first home game of the men's European Championship qualification against Macedonia: It should take place on Saturday, November 7th, 2020 at 6.30 p.m. in the Bossard Arena in Zug - normally a ice hockey venue.

According to current plans, the Swiss men's national team would start qualifying for the European Championship three days in advance. The away game to kick off in Denmark was scheduled for November 4, 2020 in Aarhus.
Macedonia starts the campaign in the 2022 European Men's Handball Championship qualification at home versus Finland, on novemver 4th or 5th.
The group 7 of the 2022 European Men's Handball Championship qualification beside Switzerland, Macedonia and Finland is rounded up by top handball nation Denmark.
