Days of Macedonian Poetry in Sweden

Traditional cultural manifestation Day of Macedonian Poetry in Sweden, will be held for the 27th time in the City Library in Gothenburg.

Within the program of this year's edition there will be twenty poets, and as a guest from Macedonia will participate Macedonian poet Violeta Tancheva Zlateva, author of several books and winner of significant awards for her work, including the most important poetry award in Macedonia, "Brothers Miladinovci "at the Struga Poetry Evenings.

The amphitheater hall in the City Library in Gothenburg offers excellent conditions for reading poetry, and this year we hope for good response and attendance by literary art lovers, says Ivica Celikovic, secretary of the Macedonian Union in Sweden.

Among the participants in the program, besides authors originating from Macedonia who live in Sweden, there will be many poets from other nationalities, including several members of the Writing Center in western Sweden.

For today, it is planned an annual assembly of the Macedonian poetic society "Denicija" with  headquarters in Gothenburg, that takes care of program preparations of the manifestation.
