Local Action Group “Tikves Wine Valley” opens Wednesday roadside stand for local products sale near E-75 highway at the entrance to Negotino.
The stand will operate during the summer and should contribute to increased sale of local products from this region to domestic and foreign tourists who transit along the highway.
“Tikves Wine Valley” is association consisted of representatives from the private, non-governmental and public sector which has been working for the support of the regional development of the Tikves micro region for two years.
Roadside stand is realized as part of the pilot activity of the Tikvesh wine valley within the project for operationalization of the LEADER approach in Macedonia.
LEADER is a European Union programme for rural development aimed at job creation and improving livelihoods in rural communities. LEADER functions through an area-based approach, managed by formalized public-private partnerships called Local Action Groups (LAGs).
The project is implemented by Association for Innovations in the Rural Economy (AIRE) funded by the Swiss Embassy to Macedonia.
