First criminal charges filed against Muhic, Misovski, Xhaferi, Zaev and Ahmeti

The citizens’ association for respecting the regulations in Bitola, founded in 2004, whose main activity is election observation, monitoring court proceedings and the like, on Thursday filed criminal charges to the Public Prosecutor’s Office against MPs Ferid Muhic, Goran Misovski, Talat Xhaferi the other 64, including Zoran Zaev and Ali Ahmeti, for the illegal election of the President of the Assembly on April 27, writes Dnevnik daily.

According to the newspaper, the charges were filed on the grounds of reasonable suspicion that the lawmakers committed several crimes under the Criminal Code: treason, abuse of office, unlawful intermediation, misrepresentation, autocracy, forging official documents and several other crimes.
The president of the association, Vasko Kosteski told Dnevnik daily says he expects the application to be processed as soon as possible because everyone is aware that Xhaferi’e election was not legal. “The Parliament at this point has a chairman and two deputies and only they can call a session. But it is obvious that this is a scenario previously agreed with external support,” said Kosteski.
