An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale has been registered Sunday at 11,39h 10 kilometers east of Ohrid, the Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje said.
Citizens have abandoned their homes afraid of new tremors, but there are no reports on serious damage.
Since 18 June over 800 earthquakes have been registered in Ohird region. The earthquakes were mainly weak with magnitude between 1 to 2 on the Richter scale. The strongest earthquake was registered on June 20 at 3:10pm with magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale and with intensity range of V according to European Macroseismic Scale.
