The first Dutch tourists of the summer season will land at the Ohrid airport tomorrow. The package holidays to Macedonia are organized by the tour operator Corendon, and its Amsterdam-Ohrid-Amsterdam charter flights will operate through Oct 16.
Corendon will charter two flights a week at first, on Tuesdays and Fridays. At the height of the season, the company will add one more flight. The number of flights may vary according to demand.
A press release from the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism says that 50 charter flights are expected by October, with more than 10,000 Dutch tourists visiting Ohrid. Corendon's package tours will increase tourist bookings by twenty percent, which will boost traffic at the St. Paul the Apostle airport in Ohrid.
