The number of building permits issued in Macedonia in March decreased by 45.1% year-on-year to 211, the state statistical office, Makstat, said on Monday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in March fell by an annual 76% to 1.67 billion denars ($32.4 million/27.1 million euro), Makstat said in a statement.
In March, 119 permits were issued for new buildings, 35 for civil engineering projects, and 57 for reconstruction projects.
Of the total number of permits issued in March, 116 were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 342 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 27,398 sq m.
