Onur Air plane landed Sunday at Ohrid Airport bringing the first group of 180 Turkish tourists to one of Macedonia’s best holiday destinations.
Today, the Turkish low-cost airline Onur Air is commencing services between Istanbul's Ataturk Airport and Ohrid for this summer season. The carrier will maintain a one weekly seasonal service until October 21, bringing Turkish tourists to Ohrid through the Turkish tour operator Tatil Budur.
This summer the Onur Air Istanbul-Ohrid seasonal flight will bring about 4,500 passengers from Turkey – a substantial contribution to a total number of Turkish tourists in Macedonia, TAV Macedonia General Manager Alp Er Ersoy said at the welcoming ceremony.
Tickets for Onur Air's new Ohrid service can currently be purchased through Turkish tour operator Tatil Budur, although the airline is considering putting tickets directly on sale if there is sufficient demand.
