Michael Mallory, the all-time leading scorer in the history of both the Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball program and the Northeast-10 Conference, has signed a professional contract with KK Blokotehna Gevgelija in Macedonia. He made his debut earlier this week and scored 10 points in his professional debut.
Mallory, who finished his career with 2,515 points, holds 11 individual school records and was also a part of the winningest class in program history. He earned All-America honors as a junior and senior, including recognition from three different organizations as a senior. Mallory was also named the 2017 ECAC Division II Player of the Year, and was a two-time All-Region and three-time All-Conference pick. Mallory also took part in the 2017 Reese's® Division II College All-Star game in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Academically, Mallory has been lauded as an Academic All-District selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America and as a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches' Honors Court. He has also been involved with community engagement with the TEAM IMPACT initiative, and through numerous other internal and external causes.
