Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov addressed the 12th Economic Forum of Young Leaders in the Polish city of Nowy Sacz. Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo will speak at the event, which comes a day after President Ivanov spoke at the Economic Forum in Krynica-Zdroj, where he met with Polish President Andrzej Duda and also spoke at a joint panel with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili.
"Young people should not look for excuses that your time is coming - your time is now. Living at the start of the new millennium, your generation has individuals more creative and inventive than previous generations", said President Ivanov, who named technological innovation, changing demographics and migration, rapid urbanization and climate change as the challenges affecting the millennial youths. President Ivanov praised the tendency to question authority and for critical thinking and the self-confidence of the coming generations.
The President said that his own school for young leaders was recently held for the eight time, and 320 young people from Macedonia attended it so far. "This is my investment in the future", said President Ivanov.
