Turnover index in Macedonian industry on the rise

 The turnover index in Macedonia's industry sector in June increased by 9.3 percent compared to June 2016, show data of the State Statistical Office.


Compared to May 2016, in June the turnover index dropped by 2.7 percent. It registered an increase by 9.1 percent in the first six months of the year, compared to the same period last year.

Domestic turnover in the industry in June 2017, in comparison with June 2016, decreased by 4.6%, whereas the non-domestic turnover in industry increased by 13.0%, according to statistics.

The turnover in industry in the section covering mining and quarrying in June 2017, in comparison with June 2016, increased by 1.2%. In the section covering manufacturing it increased by 9.6%.

The turnover by Main Industrial Groupings in June 2017, in comparison with June 2016, increased as regards intermediate goods, except energy by 12.8%, capital goods by 9.3% and non-durable consumer goods by 5.7%. It dropped in durable consumer goods by 7.2%.
