Local elections in Macedonia in October

The State Election Commission (SEC) announced that it had been informed of the signed Decision for announcing the local elections by the President of the Assembly and that it is expected the document to be submitted and published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia.


 After the announcement of the Law on announcing the local elections in the Official Gazette, the State Election Commission will hold a session on which a calendar will be adopted, which will determine the election activities and the deadlines for their implementation, after which the local elections will begin, announced SEC also added that it will timely inform about undertaking all activities for organizing and conducting the elections.

Local elections on October 15. The election campaign starts on September 26, during which time the legislature will work normally, but plenary sessions will not be held, said Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi. Add, will not allow sessions to turn into pre-election campaigns.

Xhaferi signed the decision to announce the local elections and appealed to all participants in the election process, during the election campaign, and especially on Election Day, to act in accordance with the laws.
