Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will visit Macedonia on August 30 and 31, Greek media reports say, although official information from the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently not available.
According to the writings, the name dispute will be the subject.
The visit was announced during the visit of Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov to Athens in June.
The media report that this visit to Greek diplomatic circles is considered very important because it comes after the meetings of both sides with Matthew Nimetz.
At the meeting in Athens, the name dispute was not discussed.
However, during his last visit to Skopje in July, Nimetz said that significant changes in the settlement of the dispute should not be expected in the next few months, because the views of both sides are yet to be considered and added that now it is not time to come up with a definite proposal.
Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that the visit is planned for the end of the month, but the date is not specified.
