Number of tourists increased by 6,1 percent in September

The number of tourists in Macedonia in September 2016 got up to 84.018, a rise of 6,1 percent compared to the same month last year, informed the Statistics Bureau on Friday. There were a total of 197.122 overnight stays during the month.

The Bureau informs that the number of domestic tourists rose by 22,7 percent, while foreign guests were up by 0,9 percent. Overall, in the first nine months of the year, the number of tourists grew by 4,3 percent, almost evenly among the domestic and foreign visitors.
