(SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia grew by 20.9% on the year in August, reaching 249, the country's statistics office said on Monday.
The estimated value of construction projects covered by building permits issued in August plunged 28.5% year-on-year to 2.6 billion denars ($47.2 million/42.2 million euro).
A total of 151 permits were issued for new buildings, 32 for civil engineering projects, and 66 for reconstruction projects in August.
During the review period, 276 dwellings were planned for construction, with total usable floor area of 27,426 sq m.
Out of the 249 total, 158 permits were issued to individuals in August.
