Sergei Zheleznak: Macedonia mentioned in the Bible

Deputy Secretary of the General Council of "Unified Russia" and Member of the State Duma, member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Sergei Zheleznak participated in the international conference "Belgrade Strategic Dialogue" which took place on June 29 at the Old Palace in Belgrade.

Participants at the conference were European politicians, political scientists and journalists. They discussed European and Balkan relations, their perspectives and challenges, and also what kind of future awaits EU and NATO, offered ways to solve problems that are common to European countries. "Russian Speech in Macedonian" presents several theses from the statement of the Russian politician. Sergey Zheleznak addressed the audience and drew attention to the importance of the Balkans in the role of European processes. Any instability in the Balkans, says the Russian politician, affects the general process of European integration. "We see that there is an attempt to expand and strengthen the European integration process with compulsory and sometimes violent involvement in the NATO military-political bloc. And this hasty road will bring nothing but increased pressure and schism in society. " He also began the topic of international terrorist threats and expressed the opinion that resistance to them should fight the bloc's opinion. "In Macedonia, with the support of the outside, they try to break the national identity, re-write the essence and history of this country that is mentioned in the Bible." "These issues should unite the various political forces. In the modern world it's strange to think that one can ensure its own security at the expense of others, security can only be shared, because terrorists will destroy any state because they are against our entire civilization. The terrorists do not have any party in power. "

Zheleznak spoke about the regional conception B-4, a conception of the military neutrality of the Balkan countries, now actively developing in the region. "We are confident that the successes of Serbia that we see today are related to keeping to their military neutrality, regardless of the pressure that exists from the outside. The politics of a sovereign, independent state goes hand in hand to Serbia. In no case should we give civilized space to those who are trying to push us into chaos and demolition. I would very much like that all decisions taken in relation to the Balkans should not be brought to Washington or Brussels, not to be carried to Moscow or Beijing. All responsible countries should continue their efforts and create conditions for these decisions to be made in the Balkan countries themselves. In Montenegro, the issue of NATO membership was the reason for the escalation of internal tightness and we want to not pass it at a more pervasive stage. It is very important to be given an opportunity for the people to make a statement on these issues, but in Montenegro, in every possible way, the process of conducting a referendum was hindered. For Macedonia I would not say that there is a consensus. We should not interfere with the agreements that exist at the level of the elites with the position of the people. "" We have never considered the issue of a strict alternative to Serbia's co-operation with us or with Europe. It is obvious that Serbia and other Balkan states located in the center of Europe are part of Europe, and that the potential for cooperation with the EU and the non-EU countries should be realized in every possible way. In our contacts with the EU we emphasize: let's exchange experiences because Russia is also a multinational and multi-confessional state. We have a complex, but unique experience from the Soviet Union behind us. A solution should be found for each problem that needs to be supported by the people. We hope that EU policy will be more and more oriented towards the interests of the peoples of Europe. We saw that for the military-political issues the position of the European Commission was oriented more towards the United States, than towards the position of its own voters. I am convinced that this mistake will be corrected, "says the Russian Dictionary.
