The number of passengers carried in road passenger transport in the fourth quarter of 2017, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 3.3%, in urban-suburban transport decreased by 6.7, and in rail transport by 12.3%, whereas the number of passengers carried in air transport increased by 16.4%, the State Statistical Office said on Thursday.
In comparison with the third quarter of 2017, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport decreased by 9.2%, in urban-suburban transport increased by 26.7% and in rail transport by 12.7%, while in air transport decreased by 29.9%.
In the fourth quarter of 2017, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport increased by 13.6%, in rail transport by 14.3%, whereas in air transport it increased by 11.8%.
Compared to the third quarter of 2017, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport decreased by 24.2%, in rail transport increased by 19.0% while in air transport it increased by 7.0%.
