SEC’s Timetable: Who, when and what needs to be done by the local elections

Today, the State Election Commission (SEC) adopted a timetable for the local elections, if elections are to be held on October the 15th, the second round will be on October the 29th, while political parties should submit their lists of candidates by September the 9th, the latest.

The voter list will be open to the public by August the 21st and will last until September the 9th. The deadline for collecting signatures for the lists of independent candidates for councilors and mayors is from August the 21st to September the 4th.

The SEC sent a request today to the Ministry of the Interior to make a list of adult citizens to determine the exact number of voters on the Voters’ List.

From today, media monitoring will begin on the coverage during the local elections by the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual and Media Services.
