German plant for automotive parts opens in Prilep


A plant “Injection Moulding Prilep” of German company “Accomplast” has been formally set into work Thursday at the industrial zone Alinci near Prilep.

The investment of EUR 1,2 million will initially enable an engagement of 17 employees. The company management announced in the next four years additional EUR 3 million will be invested, which is to create 150 jobs.

Ines Andre, Accomplast representative and one of the managers of ‘Injection Moulding’ the said that the plant in Prilep would get another production line soon, while the second manager Frank Michaelis
extended gratitude to former and incumbent Macedonian governments over their support.


Over 200 German companies, employing about 15,000 persons are present in Macedonia at the moment, said Patrick Martens, representative of the German Chamber of Commerce in the country.

The new plant shall produce car parts using latest technologies, intended for the European market and for large car brands such as BMW, Daimler, Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Bentley and Jaguar.

Accomplast produces technologies based on plastic injection moulding, state-of-the-art surface finishing and fully automatic assembly systems.

The German company has two subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and an offshoot in Ukraine.
