Macedonian competitor wins bronze in the International Olympiad in Informatics

Filip Mihov (17) won the bronze medal at the 29th International Olympiad in Informatics in Tehran, Iran. Four high school kids from Macedonia, including the PC whiz Marko Calasan, competed in coding against 300 children from 82 countries.


"All of our competitors had notable results, and Dimitar Bajraktarov was only 3 points away from also winning the bronze", said Kire Trivodaliev from the FINKI information technology faculty in Skopje.

Macedonian IT specialists have won a silver and 15 bronze medals in the 28 such olympics they took part in over the years.
