Czechia donates 25 police vehicles to Border Police

Josef Broz, Deputy Head of the Czech Republic's Embassy in Skopje, handed over Monday his country's donation of 25 'Skoda Yeti' cars (about EUR 740,000) to Macedonia's Ministry of Interior (MoI) for the border police.
The donation is rather significant for the border police that have been dealing with the migrant crisis, Interior Minister Mitko Cavkov said at the ceremony.
The donation, he said, will contribute to building the police capacity in dismantling criminal gangs which exploit the hardship of refugees, Cavkov said.

The Czech Republic is Macedonia's sincere friend, being demonstrated thus far by the visit of our President to Skopje, support of the country's aspirations to join EU and NATO, Broz said.
